Each year, the Friends of the Library sponsor visits by outstanding writers.
Authors who have appeared in recent years include:
- Caroline Stevermer - Annual Meeting 2007
- Henry Emmons (The Chemistry of Joy)
- Jon Hassler (A Green Journey, Staggerford, Simon's Night)
- Faith Sullivan (The Cape Ann, What A Woman Must Do)
- Jim Farrell (WCAL's popular "Dr. America," speaking from his new book about the
Mall of America)
- Joan Jarvis Ellison (author of Shepherdess: Notes from the Field, which won the
Minnesota Book Award).
